Holy Lands
21 - 31 October 2014
Curated by Jake Treacy
Holy Lands is an exhibition situated between lands. It is an earthed forum, like a sacred circle drawn into dirt, wherein a consecrated gathering of contemporary Australian artists map the landscape. Scars and valleys, mountains and veins, the water which dislocates and unites, and terrain mirroring the expanse of the sky.

Swapping Photographs
Between Kate Robertson (Australia) and Peter Nitsch (Germany)
There has been much written on the changing role and definition of photography since the introduction of digital forms and proliferation of images. Increasingly, a considerable amount of these writings discuss the new worlds in which the photographic artist now has to navigate and contribute within.

Musée Magazine, No. 7 Vol. 1, Energy Issue
8 of my artworks are featured in the Emerging Artist section of Musée Magazine, No. 7 Vol. 1, Energy Issue.
Musée’s 7th issue brings to light the diversity inherent in the nature of energy, and how one perceives where it comes from, what it means and how it exists within ourselves and the world around us. Each artist’s work yields unique aspects of the essence of energy.

The Cosmic Walk and Other Learning's
opening Saturday 17
August, 3 - 5pm
14 August - 6 September 2013
neospace
The Cosmic Walk and Other Learning’s explores experiential learning and focuses on the understanding of the Deep Ecology philosophy.
Deep Ecology observes that psychological and spiritual disorders can be contributed to the ‘illusion of separation’ between humans and the rest of the natural world. This concept is seen as a fundamental underlying issue of the current environmental crisis.
In June 2013, the artist attended a Deep Ecology Workshop facilitated by John Seed (writer, teacher, environmentalist and OAM) and became a participant-observer of deep ecology processes and healing ways. From her experiences at this workshop, Kate has developed a series of unique photograms to document the sensory modes of understandings she was exposed to.
Through photography, Kate is interested in working in the between space of contemporary art and ethnography, in order to record the inner workings of alternative healing communities and lived experience.
